Schema of treatment. After tumor resection, a subcutaneous Ommaya reservoir was implanted with its catheter into the resection cavity. Adjuvant radiochemotherapy was optional based on the patient's condition. A 2-week treatment schedule was administered for a course of CIK therapy consisting of twice weekly infusions of 4 × 108 CIK cells followed by infusions of recombinant human IL-2 (5 × 105 IU) every other day. The CIK therapy was repeated every 8 weeks for 4 courses
